Adam Sandler: Remembering The Great Past

"That's My Boy" is about to come out and Adam Sandler will once again disappoint us with a mediocre performance, with forced humor and strong scenes in an attempt to make us laugh through pure obnoxiousness, this all is a sad sad thing. There was a time when Adam Sandler used to make us laugh, where the movies he was in were funny and not trashy, where he didn't rely on pure grossness or absurdity to make us laugh but actually cared about his jokes and attempted to be semi intelligent, it breaks our hearts to see where Adam's career has ended up. With all this in mind we decided that it would be a fun exercise to remember the first 4 great films that Adam Sandler was in, the movies that stole our hearts and made us love him, these are the "Adam Sandler Classics".

   Billy Madison

This was the first big "blockbuster" of his career, this was the movie that put him on the map for sure, though a comedy, this movie will forever belong within "must watch" lists in the ages to come. This movie pokes fun at all the different issues we face while growing up at school, from preschool to high school Adam Sandler gives a satire on all the troubles we face while in those periods of our life. The struggle of being the "cool kid", or the "bully", from trying to be popular and trying to come back from being the school loser to winning the school over, all these things are portrayed in this movie brilliantly. This movie spawned a series of other movies based on similar variations of this character, thus causing "Billy Madison" to be the first on our list and our favorite by far out of all of his movies.

   Happy Gilmore

This movies deserves mad respect, making golf fun is not an easy thing to do so the fact that golf is fun here is a big deal, also the Adam Sandler we loved in "Billy Madison" is back, not forcing his jokes but making good intelligent silly jokes about golf, life and everything. The greatness of many of Adam Sandler's earlier movies had a lot to do with the subtlety of the jokes and not the absurdity of the joke, they used to be able to entertain us while making a good point. One strong point within these movies is the fact that a 4 year old can watch them and laugh while a 50 year old can watch it and laugh, both laughing at the same joke for two separate reasons, but both laughing. Making a joke generational is a tough thing and thus the beauty of this movie.

     The Wedding Singer

This was a step up in Adam Sandler's career, this was the moment he dropped his previous motif and attempted to play a different type of "funny" while keeping some of elements we loved from his previous characters, and it was a job well done. Drew Barrymore compliments this movie perfectly giving the movie that extra touch it needed to be pure gold, this was one of the performances that put her on the map (other movies did it but this was the one that made us all start to love her). Here we also learn the fact that Adam can sing and that he is a fantastic lyricist, there were many a hopeless romantics who after watching this movie learned the song "Grow Old With You" or the pained song "Somebody Kill Me", this movie will live on as a classic within the Sandler timeline.

    The Waterboy

There is something about this movie that makes us laugh every time we watch it, maybe it's the play on sheltering parents, or on a good movie about a naive boy learning to be a man, or it might be all these elements together that make us love this movie from beginning to end, this was one of the most memorable performances in his comedic career for sure. This isn't the best acting job in his career, nor does it host the best story within the movies in his career but for some reason it's one of the most memorable of all the movies he was in, people quote this movie without knowing they are quoting this movie, it just stays with you, in a good way. If you haven't seen this one we recommend you watch this movie, we recommend you watch all four of these movies, all of them are really good, it'll give you a better perspective on Adam Sandler, promise.

There were other good movies in his career that came after this one, but it was around 2005 that his last good movie came out and every other movie after that was just progressively wretched, the good ones that came before 2005 that you might want to check out are "Punch-Drunk Love", "Big Daddy", "50 First Dates", and "Mr. Deeds", these are all awesome, my favorite being "Big Daddy" for sure. Hopefully Adam Sandler will start making good movies again, we pray for that for sure, we miss his good work. Anyway, this weekend you can either go watch Tom Cruise as he goes through a mid-life crisis or watch Adam Sandler as he performs within another crappy movie, both of which might be entertaining but most likely will leave you underwhelmed, if you need an escape brave these out, if not then this is a good weekend to stay in an go bowling or something.

We hope you have had a great week and pray that this weekend might be a great one for you,

E3, Comic-Con, VidCon: Why They Are Awesome

With E3 behind us there are a few conventions left that you should be aware about, and some that have already occurred that you should be aware of. The first big bit of news that happened recently was that Apple just had their own press conference unveiling new devices and showing the improvements to some of the older products we know and love. The conference was fantastic and many people have covered it intensely, though we are aware that many of you don't care about computer specs and so forth so for a good recap of the show you can view it HERE, keep in mind that Phillip D Franco does curse a bit in his videos so if you are offended by that then don't watch that link. PhillyD also did coverage of this year's E3 and will be covering some of the conventions we will be talking about today, so if you are interested in following them as they go PhillyD is a good choice. We're going to give you a brief overview of said conventions here, but we'll be covering it fully as the conventions approach, so no worries, this is more of a "raise awareness to the existence of these cons" post not a "here is everything you need to know about them" post.

The first big con you should be aware of is the upcoming Vidcon, which is basically a gathering of YouTube celebrities where you have all the big names within YouTube come together to learn from one another and have a good time. Last year's Vidcon had a lot of good surprises come out of it, and the videos that circulated from the event were rather funny and educational. If YouTube is your thing then this con is for you, Phill will be covering the con so you can follow the happenings through him or most other entertainment sources, IGN will surely do a piece on it as well, so if you are more of a reader than a vid watcher maybe that will be a better medium for you. Vidcon this year will take place in LA on July 28th -30th.

The big convention that is coming up shortly on July 12th through the 15th is Comic-Con 2012. Comic-Con started as a more comic centered convention but has now become much much more. This convention is big news to everyone for here we learn about new TV shows that are coming out and movies that Marvel and DC are putting together, to comics, a much more. There is no telling what will be unveiled every year at Comic-Con but speculations are high this year on what Marvel and DC have in store for us for next year. The convention is famous for the massive amounts of fans that flock there every year, and of course the great costumed fans that show up keep the show interesting and entertaining.

Some of the big news circulating is that we'll get some more feedback on what's going on with "The Amazing Spider-man", we wouldn't be surprised if some information about "The Avengers" came out there as well. There are also rumors circulating about a possible reboot of the "Green Lantern" series, which would take us by surprise being that the latest movie wasn't necessarily all that bad. A full list of what's to be expected in this year's Comic-Con will be made public as we near the event, but mentioning that this convention exists was the main goal here, many are not aware of the conference and frankly being that this is a big deal we figured we should pass the word along. For more details on this year's Comic-Con visit their main site HERE.

Proof that YouTube's got a lot of talent, MysteryGuitarMan
We all have passions and sometimes great minds get together to put on a convention where great minds that think alike can come together to bond, exchange ideas, share their work with the public and try to make a name for themselves. These conventions, E3 included, are fun for we learn about what the big dogs in the industry are doing and generally get pleasant surprises about what to expect for the coming year, but there is another side to these events, the fact that upcoming artists, programmers, vloggers, and so forth can display their work, network and try to make a name for themselves, and that is an awesome thing. We're all about supporting the little guy, we think that pushing upcoming talent is the future. Sometimes people forget that without these guys the industry would die, and therefore though these events are a lot of fun and a lot of information is passed along, there is also another more beautiful element present, and that is of giving people a chance to show their talent and blow the world's mind.

As these conventions draw nearer we'll fill you in on what is going on, what is being announced and all that fun stuff. We hope your week has been going well, and pray that it might be a safe one.

Best Of E3 2012: Top 5 Picks

E3 is the biggest video game convention in the world, and it happens once a year. This is where the big companies (Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft) come together to battle it out in a battle royal to decide who will be the victor in the coming year. It is a time of revelations and surprises, a time where we get to take a look at upcoming games and new systems being unveiled, put simply, E3 is the gamers "NFL draft". This year we had Nintendo unleashing their new system upon the world the Wii U and though it does look pretty cool it did not steal the show. In fact none of the three big dogs stole the show this year, this year's E3 went to games, here are the top 5 games you should look forward to with anticipation, these were the titles that stole E3 and thus deserve your full respect. With each title we'll include a picture and a video so you can be amazed by the awesomeness of these titles.

 Assassin's Creed III

There is no surprise here, the AC series has not disappointed. It was this series that perfected open world exploration and interaction, the ability to climb up buildings and blend with crowds seamlessly was unheard of until this game showed us how it is done. The Assassin's Creed series spawned two main games, two side games and a live action tie in between the first game and the second, in short this is a game you must play for sure. In AC III you will be playing in more familiar territories and will be helping the US in our fight for freedom, though the creators of the game were not speaking much on it in order to not include spoilers, they did hint to us fighting against both sides, something along the lines of "even on your own side sometimes there are people that will cause you to fail" type of mentality, this is not confirmed mind you, it is just something one can deduce after listening to the interviews. This is a game worth checking out for sure, watch the video and be amazed, it looks awesome.

  Tomb Raider

Lara Croft is back with a brand new look, and she is looking good. This game is revamping the series bringing the game back to its roots, the plot behind this game is that there is a shipwreck and young Lara is stuck on an island where she must learn to survive and mature, basically this is the game that defines who Lara is, this is where you find out what makes Lara be who she is, and it looks awesome. The game is going back to it's roots in that you'll be playing a survival instead of a straight puzzler, you'll still have puzzles and platforms but they will be more fluid and will make more sense, instead of random puzzles this will be your fight against surviving in nature, and nature is not something to be taken lightly. There is talk behind the scenes of this game inspiring a reboot of the movie series as well, if the movie follows this game concept and looks this awesome then the reboot will be a welcomed thing for sure. I cannot wait to play this game, it looks awesome.

    Watch Dogs

This was a surprise to us all, no one knew this game was going to be introduced and everyone was cheering when the preview ended, it just rocked all our worlds. The game takes place in a world where a city's mass media information is managed by a super computer, thus all the private information of everyone within the city and the overall mechanics of the city are controlled by this super computer. You play an assassin who has power over this super computer being able to manipulate the environment at your will and find out anything you want about anyone around the city, the key thing here is data, the game is huge, super huge and gives you room to play it in your own way. You can listen in to other people's conversations in order to learn things about your target, you can manipulate stop lights, and more, the game is huge and we don't have all the details about it yet, but it definitely looks amazing, this game will blow our minds.

       Beyond

Quantic Dream has not disappointed yet with any of their games, in the original Xbox they released "Indigo Prophecy" which was by far the most overlooked game in the system but was brilliant, the game was just simply ahead of its time by five years. When the next gen systems came out Quantic Dream released a PS3 only game called "Heavy Rain" which has a completion rate of over 70%, this completion rate is a huge deal, huge. In "Heavy Rain" you played a very realistic mystery game where you could do anything you wanted, and I mean anything, the game is so detailed that some have found themselves being lost trying to find things the game won't let you do. Quantic Dream's goal in their games is to deliver the most realistic game as possible, they focus on giving you the best graphics, the best story, and the easiest controls in order to keep you engaged in the story at all times. This time around they got Ellen Page to be their main character, focusing on facial structures and a more supernatural plot, there is much that can be said about this game but the video speaks for itself, watch it and let your mind be blown.

   The Last Of Us

Post-apocalyptic games and movies have always had us captivated, there are a dozen of them around, but even though this game follows this ever familiar motif it is attempting to deliver a different twist to the genre. The game is a combination of "The Road", "Resident Evil" and "The Book Of Eli", it follows you and a girl you are protecting (your daughter?) as you fight against bad people, zombies and just try to survive on Earth after this zombie breakout took place. There isn't a lot of information being spread around about this game and besides the little things we see in the previews there isn't much else that we know about the game. Though this is the case this game is still blowing minds all around. It looks pristine, the plot is captivating and gameplay looks very fluid, it is definitely a game you should keep a close eye on throughout this year. Though there are other survival horror games coming out like "Resident Evil 6" that look good, this game blows them all out of the water by originality and graphics, it is a great addition to next year's line up.

And there you have it, there were a ton of other news and games that came out of E3, these were our picks but you should definitely go on IGN.com and look at their articles covering all that took place at E3, lots of good stuff. We hope you have a great week and pray that it might be a safe one.

(There is a lot more that can be said about the games and plots within them, for the sake of avoiding spoilers we've tried to just give a brief overview)

Prometheus Review: A Solid Addition To The Series

This will be a tough blog post to produce without giving any spoilers away but no worries no spoilers are contained within this post, so read on without any concerns. This is the fifth movie in the "Alien" series and is a prequel to the series, this is basically Ridley Scott's attempt to close a few loose ends and bring life to this loved series once again. The first thing that must be said is that this movie is directed brilliantly, this is a true Ridley Scott production, from start to finish you are hooked on what is happening on screen awaiting the inevitable scare that always surprises us and never disappoints. The movie looks beautiful, as far as direction goes this movie is a 5/5, casting was brilliant and acting was superb, not once do you find yourself being face to face with bad acting or a dull moment, this is a great addition to the series, not better than Alien or Aliens but a solid third place winner in the series.

Michael Fassbender plays the role of David, their on ship cyborg, which follows the tradition of all the Alien movies that preceded it, and he does a fantastic job. It is difficult to portray an earlier model of cyborg (in comparison to the later models found in the other movies) and pull it off well, the ability to not portray emotion but still look sympathetic in a very non-human way is not an easy thing to pull off and he does so here. Fassbender is by far the best acting job within this movie, yes Charlize Theron is brilliant as always but even she was no match to Fassbender's brilliant performance. A shout out is deserved to the supporting cast as well, all of which did a fantastic job in bringing the story to life in a non-cheesy manner, which can be hard in sci-fi horror flicks. Ridley Scott proves once again that he is a fantastic director and knows exactly what he is doing, a job well done sir.

As stated before the movie is beautiful, the worlds constructed are realistic and captivating, the spaceships looked pristine and gave us a feeling of "this could actually be the way things are done in the future". The movie is extremely well scripted, the dialogue and back-stories flow very well and keeps you engaged on what is happening throughout the story the whole time. There were really funny dialogue exchanges, specially between David and the rest of the crew, between him being resented by the rest of the crew as some sort of machine and him trying to be helpful while at the same time having a level of sarcasm hidden within his tone, again we already praised Fassbender but he deserves all the praise he gets, he was brilliant in this film.

The movie is a sci-fi horror so there will be alien attacks and so forth, but even though the creatures where of alien nature never did they look "fake" or cheesy, Ridley didn't pull any punches in his attempt to make this movie feel real, and even though we are dealing with over the top notions he pulls off delivering a solid story with these creatures being involved brilliantly. The special effects team involved in this movie deserves a round of applause for they delivered a great product that looks real and scary, even if sometimes some elements might seem silly the story is still tied together well and the serious tone of each scene is directly portrayed, again Ridley's team deserves mad respect for their work in this film.

There are a few problems with the film though, in the process of trying to answer some questions of the origin of the series Ridley does spring up more questions and does create some continuation issues, some small in nature but some pretty significant. This isn't something that most will care about but for anyone that is familiar with the series or is a fan of the "Alien" series mythos these can pose a problem for there are some elements in the movie that contradict scenes from the first Alien, which seems like bad form on Ridley's part being that he wrote the first movie to begin with. This might seem a little sticklerish of us but we feel that if you are to do a prequel to a series that you should try your best to be true to the other movies, and for the most part he was but the parts where he failed at bothersome.

Prometheus is a great film overall though, it is about time that we got a good sci-fi horror dealing with aliens and outer-space, there hasn't been a good sci-fi horror in ages. In the end Prometheus does what it sets out to do and delivers a solid product, for fans new to the series and for veterans of the series this is a great movie to go watch, we give it a 4.7/5, we can't in good conscious give it a 5/5 due to the continuity failures, besides that though this is a "summer must watch" for sure. We hope you all have had a great week and pray that your weekend might be a safe one.

The Road To "Prometheus"

Generally we are very careful about spoilers within our articles, but this time we will be a little loose on the subject and though we will not contain blatant *spoilers* for every film, there will be some things that will be said that could "spoil" some things within the movie. The purpose here is to prepare you for "Prometheus" which is a prequel to the alien series. There are a lot of people out there who are eager to watch "Prometheus" but either don't have the time or the want to watch all the four movies that follow it, thus the purpose of this post, to aid you in getting a little background so that you might be able to appreciate "Prometheus" more. Don't worry though, we won't ruin the movies, but just warn you about quality, major story premise and so forth, we hope this article might help prepare you for the newest addition to the series.

   Alien

This original Sci-Fi horror movie came out in 1979 and was directed by Ridley Scott. The story follows a mining ship that intercepts a weird message that seems like an S.O.S. and goes to investigate within a small planet. There they find a ship, a ship that carries some surprises and everyone enters into a horror movie. This ship is important for it is the same ship we see in the preview for "Prometheus" so in the movie "Prometheus" is where we find out who or what that ship was and what happened to the crew. "Alien" is a great movie and we recommend you watch you, but be warned that it is a slow movie, the movie is just under 2 hours and a solid hour and a half (almost) are just back-story. In 1979 slow movies weren't a problem, so if you can appreciate that then you will appreciate this movie. We learn a few important things in this movie, xenomorphs are bad evil creatures, cyborgs exist and are used in all crews, and Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver's character) really loves cats, while being awesome of course.

   Aliens

The second movie within this franchise is directed by James Cameron in 1986, when watching this movie we recommend watching the special edition, it does make the movie be 2 hours and 39 minutes but it is worth it for sure, this is the best in the series in our humble opinion. Here we follow Ripley's character again as she is again confronted with "the company" and xenomorphs. The big two things we learn from this movie is that cyborgs are your friends, xenomorphs hunt at night, they hunt in packs, there is a mother who gives birth to them, and although marines are no match for them Ripley is because she is awesome. Another important plot point is Ripley's love for "Newt", without a cat around Ripley had to protect something (silly joke :p). James Cameron knows how to entertain his audience and "Aliens" is no different, Cameron delivers a great spectacle throughout the whole production, this is a solid movie to watch.

   Alien 3

This is by far the worst movie in the series, it is done 6 years later 1992 and is directed by David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) so one would imagine that this would be equal to or at least on a similar playing field as his other movies, specially being that there is very little time lag between this movie and his other creations, so there is no excuse to how much this movie sucked. David Fincher must have been drunk when he made this movie, it has the worst dialogue, the worst sound, the worst picture quality, special effects, acting, and continuity, in fact there is very little good about this movie. This movie reminds us of bad British television, and the amount of curse words in this movie would make a sailor blush. *SPOILERS* Things to learn from this movie, there is such a thing as too many curse words, Ripley is still awesome and is now a host to a xenomorph queen, which makes no actual sense (who cares right?....what's a script, anyone ever heard of that?), and Ripley kills herself in order to prevent "the company" from getting their hands on the xenomorph growing within her. There is a level of applause deserved here, I can't see how someone would ever be able to make a worse movie, so job well done.

  Alien: Resurrection

Jean-Pierre Jeunet directed this film in 1997 and did a fantastic job, well not really fantastic, more like made for television fantastic, but better than Alien 3, everything is better than Alien 3. The true motive for watching this movie and the thing that makes this movie so awesome from beginning to end is that it was written by Joss Whedon. If you are familiar with Whedon's work you'll recognize his signature moves from beginning to end and will come to appreciate this movie. This isn't the best directed movie, there are issues with lighting and set, but it is definitely one of the best scripted of the 4 movies. The major points here is that humans never learn from past mistakes, the movie takes place 200 years after "Aliens 3", and Ripley is brought back to life and is now part xenomorph. If you don't find any of that too absurd then do watch this movie, if nothing else this is a fun movie, and Joss Whedon is the man, so if you're a Whedon fan definitely watch it.

And there you have it, all four movies reviewed and major points given. We've attempted to avoid as many spoilers as possible, except for the third movie, only because we want to spare you the pain and agony. "Prometheus" hits the big screen on Friday and is being directed by Ridley Scott so you can expect big things from this movie, we'll have a full review for you on Friday. We hope your week has been great and pray that it might finish well.

The 2012 MTV Movie Awards

The 2012 MTV Movie Awards were packed with excitement this year, many thought that Russell Brand was going to have a mediocre performance this year but instead he surprised us all by not only doing a good job but being pretty funny as well in the process. A lot happened within this year's awards so for the sake of length we'll just be featuring the major moments that stood out to us, and finish with some critiques regarding the award. The first thing that must be said about yesterday's performance is that MTV spared no expense, the show was fantastic, the sets were awesome and the DJ did a fantastic job keeping the house alive, overall MTV set up a pretty good show, it wasn't perfect by a long shot but it was much better than many had previously speculated.

The show was preceded by an episode of Punk'd hosted by Ashton Kutcher, sort of his come back on set and taking things to a higher level thing. The two people that were Punk'd were Drake and Kim Kardashian, Drake's prank was perfectly done and got him brilliantly, Ashton caused an earthquake to occur within a parking garage, that was pretty brilliant and got a good laugh from everyone. Kim's prank was way too over the top, she knew something was wrong from the beginning so there was no freak out from her, just her being like "this is way to weird, something is going on". Ashton makes the claim in the end that "this is how it should be done" but really he failed hardcore at his second prank, so let us hope that in subsequent shows the hosts learn from Ashton's failure and pull off more believable pranks.

This year's MTV Awards was one of the first ones in a while that all the musical talent within it did a fantastic job, there is always one group who does a mediocre job or just doesn't "show up" when the pressure is on, but this year everyone came with their A game and the performances were fantastic. Fun. opened the show delivering a fantastic opener truly getting everyone pumped up and ready for the award show. Wiz Khalifa performed his newest single "work hard play hard" and also did a fantastic job, not his best work in my humble opinion, but a good song anyway. The highlight of this year's musical numbers had to me Johnny Depp joining "The Black Keys" on stage and showing us that he can still rock out. Johnny was presented with the "Generation Award" this year for all his years as an actor, and rightfully so, he has had a fantastic career for sure. This was by far the most epic part in the show, I recommend finding this on YouTube and taking a look, it was pretty awesome.

A good majority of the awards were well presented, you never know with MTV movie awards, sometimes you can't help but feel like their so called "democratic voting" is not so democratic, personally I think it isn't, but some disagree with me on this. Anyway, the most deserved awards were obviously all the awards given to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games, both of which deserved every award they got for sure, from best fight to best cast to best transformation, they deserved all the awards they got. The most genuine moment within the award show was that of Emma Stone as she received the "trailblazer" award, not only did she admit to not deserving the award but had a legit "truth" moment on stage where she let her heart be known, if she didn't deserve that award before, after her speech she definitely did, Emma, way to be awesome.

The lame awards were surprisingly all due to "Twilight", this isn't due to me having a bias against "Twilight" but the looking at the polls and seeing a race between "Harry Potter" and "Hunger Games" be overshadowed by a contestant that didn't have a strong presence in the polls to begin with, now that's just plain crazy, specially if you take twitter votes into consideration. Personally I think "Twilight" won best movie over "Harry Potter" only because another one is coming out and they need the publicity, Harry was way better than "Twilight" that isn't even a fight there. Another epic premature fail by MTV was naming "Project X" as an instant cult classic, what were they thinking here?, "our movie didn't make as much as it should have, let's make it a cult classic and people will go watch it".....lame MTV, super lame. And don't even start with "Twilight" deserving best kiss, maybe next year's award you could pull this card, but when you are competing against "Harry Potter" and "The Hunger Games" there is no way that "Twilight" deserved to win, this was a legit *facepalm* moment. The best part of them winning though was that fact that no one would go on stage to kiss Kristen Stewart, she kept calling different people to go and share a kiss with her and everyone was like "as if", it was pretty lolzy.

Last but not least we got to honor Christopher Nolan for his Batman series, which was well deserved for sure, in the process we got a very heartfelt Christian Bale giving a shout out to Heath Ledger, which was quite emotional. The show overall was pretty decent and a fun watch for sure, if you missed it then go and watch some of the highlights, not something I would personally watch again, it wasn't that good, but for what is was it was a job well done. We hope you all have a fantastic week and a fantastic Monday.

Snow White And The Huntsman: Review

Yesterday we got the chance to go watch the new movie "Snow White And The Hunstman" and for the most part we have to admit that we enjoyed the film. The film is brilliantly directed, the script is very well written, the set was beautiful, and the acting was superb, that is except for Kristen Stewart, but we'll get to more on that a little later. This is the first movie directed by Rupert Sanders that has hit the big screen, in fact IMDB has this being the only film he has ever directed, that's doubtful for this was a job well done and usually good jobs only occur after some experience. Sanders took a cheesy story and made it raw, he stripped all the elements to the bone and gave us a different take on the famous story with a darker twist, in the end this was one of the best Snow White adaptations we have ever seen.

Snow White isn't an easy story to attract guys to, but Sanders' Snow White is full of action and adult themes throughout the whole film. This is not a children's movie, remember that, there are very strong adult elements throughout this movie either seen or implied, thus don't take this movie as been a children's movie, that's just simply not the case. Sanders did deliver us a good strong retelling of the Snow White tale and his casting, save Kristen Steward, was brilliant. The world that Sanders created was gorgeous and is one of the big high points within this movie, we feel confident that you will feel the same way as you watch the movie.

Chris Hemsworth stole our hearts as usual, there is a definite future for Chris we can't wait to see where his career takes him. You never know how strong an actor is going to be until you place him in a movie where his acting alone saves it from being a catastrophe. True, the movie is not saved by Chris' acting alone but he did a fantastic job as the huntsman, he was rough and tough, he was sexy and lovable, he has all the characteristics one would want when watching this movie for a huntsman. He made carrying axes look awesome, towards the end of the movie I myself was beginning to be convinced that an axe is better than a sword, true it does resemble a hammer, and true maybe I have some loyalty to him cause he is Thor, but he did a fantastic job, you can trust that for sure.

Charlize Theron stole the show, that's a fact, no fight there, Charlize is beautiful and sexy, she is a brilliant actress and knows exactly how to seduce an audience, her casting as the evil queen was brilliant, simply brilliant. No one can hold Kristen Stewart accountable when it comes to competing against Charlize, that's an unfair battle, Charlize is a woman, she is mature and knows how to capture your heart, but Kristen Stewart is just a little girl still, she's got one expression and is not seductive at all throughout the whole film, it's an impossible competition, who can compete against Charlize? That's a tough one, only a handful of actresses would have done the trick, Stewart is not one of them.

If you read any reviews on this movie and they don't talk about the side characters then that particular reviewer has done this movie a massive injustice. The side characters within this film where brilliantly casted, the king and his wife were awesome making the intro for this movie be amazing, Charlize's brother is a creep and repulsive, he was brilliantly portrayed as well. The toughest part in the Snow White story are the dwarves, to make dwarves not be cheesy but warriors is no easy feat, and thus they deserve our recognition for sure, even their songs where brilliantly done, they brought that bit of humor that the movie needed and they stole our hearts truly tying the movie together.

To recap, the huntsman played by Chris Hemsworth was brilliant, the queen played by Charlize Theron was sexy and evil, the side characters stole our hearts and tied the story together, Rupert Sanders brought the Snow White world to life and had brilliant writers work on the script and thus on these elements alone the movie is a 4/5, a sure summer blockbuster, but Kristen Stewart somehow manages to ruin this movie anyway. Kristen has one look, the opened mouth "I'm confused, where am I, I'm so high right now" look, her inability to do a serious monologue does not help her case out at all. For the most part the movie did not suck because she only had minor lines, but toward the end she has a motivational monologue which she butchers and brings the movie down from a 4/5 to a 2/5, it hurt to watch.

Being harsh with Kristen Stewart while she is being surrounded by such an amazing cast feels wrong though, so in the end we feel that this was all Rupert Sanders' fault, he should have known better and casted someone better for the role, Jennifer Lawrence should have been the most obvious pick, she would have saved this movie, that's a fact. When you walk out of this movie and think "man that movie sucked" or "eh, it wasn't great but it was fun" take a second to imagine the movie without Kristen Stewart and you'll agree, this movie was awesome, super awesome, we loved it but Kristen Stewart killed it and made us leave with a bad taste in our mouths, this might sound harsh but it's the truth, someone has to say it, so we will.

We hope you have had a great week, and pray that this weekend will be a safe one for you,
